If you need to add an account that is not in the list, click the button Other POP IMAP account Entrance. You will choose this option if you want to add an account for your ISP or a web account from a lesser known online service. Enter your email address and password, then sign in and wait for your account to appear.
If you click Other POP IMAP account and Windows can’t locate or access your account, so it’s time to go the advanced route. Click Advanced Setup, then choose Exchange ActiveSync or Internet E-mail. Exchange ActiveSync is a special protocol that allows mobile phone users to access their email, contacts, and calendars from an Exchange server. In most cases, you will want to select the one for Internet email.
In the next window, enter your email address, username, password, account name, and sender name. You will also need to find and enter the names of the incoming and outgoing mail servers for your service and select the account type. You can usually locate this information by searching the Web for the name of your e-mail provider followed by the terms “IMAP”, “POP”, or “SMTP”.
Under Account type, select POP3 or IMAP4, depending on the protocol you want to use. Keep all four options checked and click Connect.
Once you have added an account, you may see a “Attention Required” notice prompting you to correct the account if it is not properly configured or cannot be accessed. If you see this, click on the Fix button and reenter your password to see if the problem goes away.
